The Place Where Miracles Happen

http://health.usnews.com/usnews/health/articles/070826/3heart_2.htm
This link is to an article from US News and World Report documenting the best hospitals in America (TCH ranked 6th in the US for the type of procedure James underwent). This article features Dr. Fraser who performed James' surgery and is pictured below with an older female patient. This photograph brought back tearful memories as it is exactly how Baby James looked for 2 days following his surgery. We head back to the hospital on Tuesday for our first post-op visit. They will do a sedated echocardiogram to check the progress. We are hoping and praying for good news. We are optimistic because the lil rascal is crawling around like a madman and playing with everything in sight!

Football, friends, and family

Where are all those Longhorn fans going?

Friday night at Pete's Piano Bar. Note: this is not Molly's hand!!

Before the monsoon left us absolutely dripping!

Koffee and Baby J had a blast watching the game on TV.

Texan football. Yes - we're obsessed with the game.

James heard it was his Birthday last Friday. Yes, football dictates our schedule and we're celebrating a week late.

Koffee, Humberto & Football

Grandma "Nana" Koffee has spent the last week with Baby J. We went to sleep last Wednesday and woke up with Hurricane Humberto. Humberto was kind enough to leave us with lakefront property for a day. Troop loved it. This is the view from our front yard.

James in his magic ball palace that arrived as an early Birthday gift.

This is James smiling like his mommy when she's had too many drinks.

And the weekend ended with James and CD cheering the Texans to victory! James says Thank YOU Nana for the new Texans gear. But next time bring a bigger KState tshirt!

Some days are more smiley than others...

Unfortunately.... James was not hamming it up for his latest spin in the studio. He is lookly whiney and/or bewildered. Let's hope it's just a phase.

Labor Day Weekend fun

Trooper makes honorable mention this week because he apparently pulled a groin muscle trying to escape from the wrath of Baby J.

James got jealous of his mom and dad watching football all day Saturday so he reclined in his own speical way.

This is James new camera face he makes with the red eye flash. Nice.

He was walking around a lil bit.

Welcome Baby Harrison!

We are happy to report that Harrison Eason Parks (son to Lance and Kelly Parks) was born a healthy, happy little baby on July 20th. Here is a pic of the precious bambino and proud papa!

Whew.

So as most of you know - the last few weeks have been pretty scary for us. James had his heart surgery at the beginning of this month, and we are thrilled to report that he came through with flying colors. He is now back to normal-- with the one exception being house arrest for a few more weeks. Many thanks to all of you for the constant prayers and well wishes. Not to mention the wonderful gifts and fantastic dinners. We are so lucky to have such loving friends and family!

Weekend pics

Saturday I headed to Htown for lunch with my favorite college/Spain girls. OF COURSE it was fantastic to see Kelly and Sofia-- here is a great pic. Too bad Nico missed the fun!

Sof and Beautiful Bella

James got to enjoy his first bite of chicken thanks to Sof. Of course, it ended up on the floor within seconds. Worth a try.

Saturday we had a great time hanging out with friends in Beaumont at Kelly and Gaile Henry's house. Here are Gaile and Hannah - what an adorable pic!
