A day in the life, from James

Here's what my first two days were like, Momma went through a lot of labor, and they decided they wanted me to be born by c-section (whatever that is). All I know is it was nice and warm where I was, and they wonder why I didn't want to leave. Try Jamaica to Antartica, see how you like it. Besides all that I sure am having fun, take a look at how the world looks to me.

Enough with the poking and prodding Zhivago, who said you could gather a crowd. At least they put them behind the glass, too bad they let you in.

SOMEBODY CALL THE COPS, who is this lady

She's nice, but how'd she make it past the glass

Dang another one made it past, we need new security.

Heck w/ the mold, this is the real MOMMY & ME, p.s. I'm tired

Here are the Texas Greats, he was saying something about knowing about Gas pain

This is the momma of my BIG cousin

Monday, Monday: Nuthin, Nuthin

SO, as most of you may know Monday was the big day. Except it wasn't. After 15 hours of minor contractions, the doc released me from the hospital only to try again on Thursday. Looks like I've made such a warm and hospitable environment for sweet baby James he never wants to leave. Ahhh, how sweet. Well - get ready lil guy because Thursday you're coming out -- by choice or by force.

Here are some pictures that show all our prep work!!
WHALE BELLY-- how can he not be ready to come out?? Seriously...

Homeade Spaghetti Dinner - eat your heart out Mark Starr!

Buddha is even helping around the house. Meow.

Everything is put together.

All that's missing is a BABY.

Update to the belly mold post:

This is not a joke. I seriously found these on Amazon when looking for children's books. MMMmm --- look good.

ONLINE POLL: Halloween costumes

As most of you know, Halloween is Trooper's favorite holiday. However, this year we will have a new addition to the family and therefore, must coordinate the costume efforts. Colin and I are asking for your cooperation in this department. Below are pics of complimenting costumes --- please use the comment section to vote for your favorite!

It's Not that I hate UT...

I just want everyone to know my great grandfather graduated from Ohio State. I felt compelled to go with my true family loyalty when watching Saturday's game and therefore, had to cheer against the horns.

Babies Galore!

My Saturday was spent hanging out with good friends from law school and FOUR beautiful babies. It's always amazing to see how time flies and we are all forced to grow up -- but when you see these amazing little faces you know it's definitely worth it! Also, thanks to the girls for putting together a fun lunch and showering me with more presents!!!!!

Belly Molds. Gross concept.

Colin and I were joking about this new trend-- one that I definitely will NOT partake in. Of course, Colin wanted to know why there isn't a "Daddy and me" belly mold. I thought it might be cute to have the two hanging side by side above the mantle, but on second thought decided not to. On a similar note, I DID decide on what everyone will be getting this year for Christmas. See below.

Living the Life of a Lizard.

Ok -- I first noticed this little guy this morning on my way to work. I was very careful all the way in, because I didn’t want him to jump off and get run over. I thought he would escape to a private life of lizard bliss during the morning hours I was in the office. To my surprise, he was still waiting for me at 12:00!!

Don't worry. Being the avid animal lover I am, I gently drove him all the way back to the house for a release back into the wild. Now that I think about it, I just hope he was not trying to escape the claws of our outdoor cats, Black Bart and Sh1tty Kitty.
