Weekend events

SO, Colin and I set up our trusty inflatable pool Friday night and it was just barely warm enough by Sunday afternoon. We always regret not getting a real pool years ago... but our 50buck investment works just great.

Colin was sweeping baby J in and out of the water.

My Saturday morning started with volunteering for juvey community service hours. My, doesn't that hanging basket look fantastic? We also created flower beds in front of this house.

My 2 men... what a pair.

THanks to Nana and Grumpy... we miss you

Thanks to my Nana and Grumpy who came all the way from Kansas to spend the week with me. They sure know how to spoil... thank goodness Nana knew where Baby Gap was. I was sick of having absolutely nothing to wear, and now I have a brand new wardrobe! Baby J's parents are grateful too for all the help and fun times. When are you coming back?

Let's GO CRAWFISHIN!!!

Here's Sonya teaching Great Great Uncle Tommy how to eat crawfish. He caught on pretty fast!

Complients to Chef Colin

Here's the whole gang digging in. Mom, help yourself!

Mark LeDoux with Baby J.

Here's the Schafer/Kennedy/Moore clan wishing Mimi and Papa a Happy 60th Anniversary. Notice Scott's holding a special prize... a very red and tasty critter.

Easter Sunday

Ahhh my masterpiece. I think I will be a baker in my second life.

No Easter would be complete without a few peeps.

Despite keeping his eyes open for the visit with the Easter Bunny, the Bunny nonetheless brought happiness this Easter.

Easter Bunny

Norma took Baby J to visit with the Easter Bunny on Thursday... little does he know that only if you close your eyes does the magic of Easter shine upon you. His Auntie Seester will one day teach him...

Email from Colin: Truth or Consequences

He says:
Note this is the only grass in town and is watered 4 hours a day

CD has been in good ole Truth or Consequences, New Mexico since Tuesday. Here are some pics he sent this morning.

April Fool's Weekend

Saturday began with a trip to Houston for Sofia's daughter's Birthday (Sof was my SMU roommate). Somehow I managed to miss getting pics of Nicolas, their 2 year old, but he certainly is adorable!!

Saturday afternoon the rain cleared up and James got to try out the Super Duper Radio Flyer his Nana and Grumpy sent all the way from Kansas. They were certainly excited Colin got it put together... something less for them to do when they get here next week. After James convinced us that he (most likely) isn't going to fall out, he LOVED riding all around the yard and even in the street.

For awhile at least.

OK, so this is from a few weekends ago. Too cute not to post. Uncle J and Baby J.

And this marks the end to another great weekend.
