St Patty's Day

As if Gator County wasn't enough (see the post below), we had an enjoyable day hanging out in the yard- underneath our new umbrella we bought for the beach.

Nobody could pinch him!

We don't know why, but James LOVES sitting on shoulders. He especially likes grabbing big fistfuls of hair and shoving it in his mouth.

NO, James isn't eating Cheetos yet. But this crinkly sack is definitely his favorite toy.

James in his St Patty's Day bib, sent from Margarine (or Margaret) all the way in Denver. Thanks, Madge! He wore the Sleepyhead onesie twice this week, but peed on it before I could get the picture taken! By the way, you will notice that James is now getting fed in the buff.

The best Birthday Party EVER!

So most of you already know I'm infatuated with alligators. My friend Marianne had her son's 4th Birthday party at the fabulous new park, Gator Country USA about 20 miles west of Beaumont. They boast the world's largest alligator in captivity - Big Al who is 12 feet long and 1000 pounds. DANG.

Here, Fishy Fishy Fishy.

Here's Brave Marianne with a 4-footer. Needless to say neither Colin nor myself were that brave.

Although Colin did like taunting "Big Snappy."

Look to the bottom left of this pic (James is looking). THAT's Big Al. Did I mention he got shot with a shotgun when he attacked some guys golden retriever. At which point the park guide said, "Well... they LOVE dem dogs."

Colin and I were thinking this would be an excellent spot for my 30th Birthday Party.

Here's Colin getting brave.

Here's the Birthday Boy with a baby gator.

Colin (outside the fence) and Big Al. Ah, how sweet.

Colin and Big Al (inside the fence).

Dang.

OKC Girls weekend 2007

Ok... So my posts are a little out of order. Last weekend I went to OKC to visit Toni and Baby Jacks, which coincedentally evolved into an awesome Girls Weekend. My sister did a great job of summing up how much fun we had through a montage of awesome pics. But here are a couple to summarize.

I think if you look really close you can see Toni's forehead in the upper righthand corner. I don't know why this didn't turn out -- I'm usually the master of taking pics with the one-arm stretch. Oh well...

And here we have Baby Jacks (or Jackson for his proper name). All bundled up and nowhere to go. ..

Moore Pics

Here is the latest round of pics. This is James in front of the azalea bush- the weather here is finally beautiful and we spent most of the weekend either walking around the neighborhood or planting some springtime flowers.

We enjoyed a traditional Saturday afternoon BBQ (in St Patricks Days theme) with some friends and their kiddos. Here's Alexis Deyton wondering where her scooting car is!

Evan Fuselier enjoys a moment of silence with his cupcake.

Proud Mommas.

Elise showing off her pink crocs!

Flower child Hannah Henry.

Ok... so this is for my brother in law, Mark Starr. He taught me that sometimes food is just too good not to take a picture. This is Colin's masterpiece of a steak he grilled on Friday night. Below is my crabcake salad. Mark, I'm still waiting on our crab-cake cookoff.

And here is James David in his KU onesie. It seemed to work.... FINAL FOUR Here we come!
